Preparation & compaction
- Compact pneumatically in one slow bottom-to-top pass; avoid repeated up/down movement that separates grains. Maintain air pressure, seals and stroke springs.
- Provide 3–4 mm former holes at 150 mm centres for moisture release.
- Use clean, dense scrap; avoid low-grade, fine or high-silica sponge iron.
- Inspect coil coat and pads; the published replacement preference is every three months.

Application review
Record temperature and lining performance heat by heat. The source favours boron oxide premix for lining life.
Confirm the source’s unclear compaction-duration wording and opening-carbon units with our team. Any cooling-fan changes during the initial sintering period also require furnace-specific review.
